Early Morning Vehicle Chase Ends in Hardin County

A vehicle pursuit this morning has ended in Hardin County.

At 2:27 a.m., the Hodgenville Police Department observed a 2004 Hundai driving erratically on Lincoln Farm Road. The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued onto Lincoln Parkway and into Hardin County. Units from Kentucky State Police began to pursue the vehicle and were successful. Spike strips were deployed at Sportsman Lake Road, and the vehicle then stopped in the median.

The operator of the vehicle, 44 year-old William Pierce of Mount Sherman, was taken into custody and lodged in the Larue County Jail. Mr. Pierce had an outstanding bench warrant through the Larue County Circuit Court for violation of supervision on felony drug charges. He was charged with Fleeing or Evading Police in the first degree, and Wanton Endangerment in the first.
