Glow for Recovery 5K raising awareness during National Recovery Month

The Hardin County COPE Coalition will be honoring National Recovery Month this Friday at the second-annual Glow for Recovery 5K Run/Walk, to be held at the Elizabethtown Sports Park.

“We are going to host a 5K Glow for Recovery event, which will also feature a resource fair, so people can come and run for a good cause and then also get connected to resources in our communities,” said CommuniCare Certified Prevention Specialist Andrea Sheroan.

The event is free to attend and “celebrates the strength, hope, and resilience of individuals and families impacted by substance abuse and mental health challenges.” All are welcome to attend and help shine a light on recovery.

“The event starts around 6 p.m. and then it will go all the way until 8,” Sheroan said.
