In college basketball, tonight the University of Kentucky’s Men’s Basketball Team is playing North Florida at home and the Women’s Basketball Team is playing Dayton. On Friday, the Women’s Hilltoppers are facing off with Cornell University, and the Lady Cardinals Basketball Team is playing Longwood at home. Room in the Inn Hardin County has opened a location in Radcliff. The location is 1633 North Logsdon Parkway and will require transporting guests from warm blessings each night. The drive is about 25 minutes and they have acquired a bus to transport everyone each day. The facility can house all 25 people that are in the warm blessings program. They are looking for volunteers who have a CDL, in the morning around 8 am and in the evening at around 530 pm to drive the bus. The Elizabethtown Lions Club has joined a statewide coat drive. Previous President Brian Dennis stated, “ the Elizabethtown Lions Club was contacted by our state leadership. They are having a state-wide coat drive. We are going to collect all the coats we can and take them to a central location in Mount Washington, where they will be taken by truck and delivered to Eastern Kentucky.” There is currently one drop off point at the award center in front of the panther academy in Elizabethtown, however, more drop off points are being located. Larue County and Bullitt County Schools will be closed today. The closing is a result of low attendance due to illness. The school will be closed the rest of the week as the school’s transition to thanksgiving break. The schools return to session Monday November 28th.
In college basketball, last night, The Cats Women’s Basketball Team lost to Virginia Tech 74 to 82. The Louisville Cardinals Men’s Basketball Team lost to the Arkansas Razorbacks 54 to 80. Western Kentucky University’s Men’s Basketball Team lost to the Akron Zips and, Western Kentucky University’s Women’s Basketball team beat Miami Ohio 91 to 55. Tomorrow, the University of Kentucky’s Men’s Basketball Team is playing North Florida at home and the Women’s Basketball Team is playing Dayton University.
