Unemployment rates rose in 118 counties in Kentucky from April 2023 to April 2024, including in the Lincoln Trail District. Governor Andy Beshear announced additional funding for electric vehicle charging locations across the commonwealth, and area communities are among the sites. Two wanted fugitives were arrested in Meade County Wednesday. According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 10 a.m. on May 22 detectives attempted to stop the vehicle of Anthony Stout, who immediately fled from the detectives on Flaherty Road.
