The Elizabethtown Police Department is announcing a new partnership aimed at supporting victims of crime. The EPD is partnering with 911 Cell Phone Bank, which it says is “a national organization dedicated to providing emergency communication devices to crime victims.” According to a release from the EPD, the department will be able to distribute communication devices to victims who would otherwise not have access to them. The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is celebrating a record-breaking academic year. The KCTCS says the preliminary data shows the 2024-2025 academic year produced the highest number of credentials and graduates since the system’s founding in 1997. The KCTCS says 44,402 degrees, diplomas, and certificates were awarded, and 24,263 graduates earned at least one credential across the system’s 16 community colleges.
