94.3 the Wolf Country That'll Make You Howl!
Each year, the Leadership Hardin County class at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce selects a community project based on a need in the community.
Leadership Hardin County class member Chrissie Angel says this year’s class is putting together “Fostering Love Comfort Bags” to benefit local foster care children.
“Our goal is to ensure that these children can transition with dignity, knowing that their community cares for them, and our goal is to collect enough items to do 150 bags so that when DCBS goes to put a child in foster care they can give them something of their very own that they will have to take with them,” Angell said.
The class is seeking donations of necessities or comfort items between now and April 4.
“We’re collecting necessities like soap, toothpaste, and combs,” Angell said. “We’re also looking to collect things that would be a little bit more personal like stuffed animals or a small toy, books, pajamas size like two-year all the way up to 17-year-olds, bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, things like that.”
Donations may be dropped off at the chamber or the following locations:
