Kentucky unemployment up slightly as more people join the workforce

Unemployment in Kentucky saw a slight increase in July. The Kentucky Center for Statistics says the state unemployment average for July was 4.7 percent. That is an increase from the 4.6 percent rate reported in June as well as from the July 2023 rate which was reported at 4.2 percent. Kentucky’s unemployment average also came in higher in July than the national unemployment rate, which the U.S. Department of Labor reported at 4.1 percent. […]
