Law enforcement in Breckinridge County is searching for a subject after the City of Irvington was put under a shelter in place order. That situation impacted Breckinridge County Schools, which has now cancelled school for the day. “Irvington city was put into a shelter in place mode, so we went into a two-hour delay,” said Breckinridge County Schools Superintendent Dr. Nick Carter. “Now here in the last few minutes, we have made the decision to go ahead and cancel school for the day because the situation has not been resolved yet, and the City of Irvington remains in a shelter in place.” The City of Irvington has also closed all city government operations for the day. Breckinridge County Dispatch says law enforcement is currently searching for a subject described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, 45 years of age. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you see such a subject, call 911 or the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office.
