Country singer Lainey Wilson and former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges have been a prominent couple in 2024, leading fans to speculate about a potential marriage in 2025.
During a recent CMT interview, Bunnie Xo expressed hopes for a 2025 wedding, to which Wilson humorously responded, “No pressure, brother!” She further joked about possibly proposing herself, stating, “I might have to propose to him. We waiting.”
Wilson has previously mentioned this sentiment, especially after releasing her album Whirlwind, which features the song “Counting Chickens.” When asked if Hodges inspired the track, she remarked, “I guess I’m going to have to propose to his a–, because he ain’t proposed to me!”
Despite the lighthearted comments, Wilson acknowledges the importance of timing, suggesting that an engagement should occur during a period when they can fully appreciate it. She noted, “Right now it would be like, ‘Oh shoot, I’m engaged. Okay, on to the next thing.’”
