Funding approved by the state for railroad safety and infrastructure improvements includes work on rail lines in area counties. During Thursday’s Team Kentucky Update, Governor Andy Beshear announced the awarding of nearly $3 million in grant funds to railroads and local governments, financing nine projects in seven counties. November unemployment in Kentucky held steady from numbers seen in September. The Kentucky Center for Statistics says the state unemployment average for November was 4.7 percent. That is unchanged from the month of September, and down .7 percent from the November 2024 average of 5.4 percent.
