Country music star Trace Adkins’ mother has taken on a new role in their hometown, serving as mayor of Shuqualak, Mississippi. According to Adkins, his mother spends much of her time addressing routine municipal matters, including correspondence with residents about property maintenance issues.

In addition to her regular administrative duties, the mayor also handles sentencing responsibilities for minor criminal offenses within the community.
