Alan Jackson’s final concert is headed to network television this fall. According to The Boot, the singer’s team has announced that Alan Jackson: The Last Show will air on NBC on Dec. 8 at 8PM ET, with the two-hour broadcast streaming on Peacock the following day. A live album, The Last Show: One More for the Road — The Finale (Live from Nashville), is set to arrive a few days ahead of the telecast.
The broadcast draws from Jackson’s farewell performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium last summer, where he and a slate of guests covered nearly 40 songs. The special is expected to include the majority of Jackson’s 23-song headlining set, along with appearances by 17 country stars who took turns on deeper cuts or songs that couldn’t fit into the main set. The guest list, per the report, features Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Jon Pardi, Jake Owen, Lee Ann Womack, Riley Green, and Luke Bryan, among others.
Jackson’s Nissan Stadium sendoff followed his announcement that he would retire in 2025, five years after revealing his Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease diagnosis. The condition, as described in the report, can cause muscle contractions, loss of sensation, and nerve damage in the arms and legs, making walking difficult. In the years after sharing the diagnosis, Jackson continued to tour but at times canceled dates for health reasons, and fans observed a slower onstage presence.
For country listeners, this TV event captures a historic goodbye from one of the genre’s foundational hitmakers and offers a definitive document of the night via the companion live album. With a prime-time NBC slot and next-day Peacock availability, fans nationwide who couldn’t make it to Nissan Stadium will get to experience the scope of the celebration, from Jackson’s career-spanning set to tributes by contemporary stars influenced by his music.
