Tickets are still available for Nolin River Wildlife’s annual fundraiser, to be held Friday, April 17 at 6 p.m. at the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
“You need to come in some jeans or overalls and your boots,” said Nolin River Wildlife Board Chair Jerry Mraz. “It’s a country kind of thing. Country food, we’ll have a live and silent auction. We’ll have James Hummel out there as our DJ, and we’re just going to have fun, and we’ll of course have Lobo the wolfdog.”
Lobo the wolf pup will be one of a number of ambassadors for the organization, whose mission is to “rescue, rehabilitate, and release orphaned and injured wild animals, giving them a second chance at the life they were meant to live.”
“You can contact us at 270-307-7913 or 270-307-7946,” Mraz said. “Tickets are just $50 this year for each ticket. It’ll be a great night of food and fun and auctions, and just talking to people, and meeting Lobo the wolfdog.”
All proceeds go back to the operations of Nolin River Wildlife.
“Much of what we try to do is educate the public and field those kinds of questions,” Mraz said. “What can I do? I found this or that animal or who can I reach out to? And we want to be there to help let people know how to assist those animals and how we can coexist with all the wild animals in our area.”
