Open enrollment at Hardin County Schools this Thursday and Friday

Hardin County Schools will be hosting open enrollment events at district schools this Thursday and Friday.

“This is the time where we welcome children who are enrolling in school for the first time, who may be transferring to another school in the district, or are planning to attend a new school after a move to a new home,” said HCS Community Relations Specialist John Wright.

Parents are asked to attend open enrollment in person, but arrangements can be made if they are unavailable.

“We just ask those parents to contact their child’s school and set up an appointment for them to go in and do everything necessary to register their child for the 2026-2027 school year,” Wright said.

Students making the natural transition to elementary, middle, or high school do not need to attend open enrollment. Students transitioning from kindergarten at North Park Elementary to first grade at either Meadow View Elementary School, Radcliff Elementary School, Vine Grove Elementary School, or Woodland Elementary School also do not need to attend.
