Overnight work on I-65 in Hardin County this week

Crews with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Four will be doing overnight resurfacing work on Interstate 65 in Hardin County the next three nights. According to the KYTC, crews will be applying a high-friction thin lay to both directions of the interstate between mile markers 96 and 98. Crews tonight will be milling on I-65 South, reducing it to two lanes from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews Wednesday night will be milling on I-65 North from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., reducing the roadway to one lane, and paving on I-65 South will reduce that roadway to two lanes from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Paving on the northbound lanes Thursday night will reduce the roadway to one lane from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Construction signs are posted. Drivers are urged to slow down, minimize distractions, and pay close attention to workers and equipment when travelling through the construction zone.
