OFFICIALS FOR SEVERAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE BANDING TOGETHER TO EASE PARENTS MINDS REGARDING A THREAT MADE ONLINE. OFFICIALS SAY THE THREAT SAID THERE WOULD BE A SCHOOL SHOOTING IN KENTUCKY AUGUST 28TH AND ONE IN ARKANSAS AUGUST 29TH. THERE WERE NO SPECIFIC SCHOOLS OR DISTRICTS LISTED IN THE THREAT ONLINE, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT SAY THE THREAT ITSELF WAS NOT TRACED TO AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE UNITED STATES. ​​

HARDIN FISCAL COURT APPROVED NEW PROPERTY TAX RATES. THE MOTOR VEHICLE TAX REMAINED UNCHANGED. REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE CONSERVATION DISTRICT AND THE DISTRICT EXTENSION BOARD ALSO PRESENTED THEIR TAX RATES AT THE MEETING. ​​

A NEW LEAD DETECTIVE HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE CASE OF CRYSTAL ROGERS. DUE TO THE RETIREMENT OF DETECTIVE JON SNOW, CHIEF DEPUTY JOEDY GILLILAND WILL BE TAKING OVER THE ROLE. ROGERS WAS REPORTED MISSING ON JULY 3RD, 2015 IN BARDSTOWN, AND HER CAR AND BELONGINGS WERE FOUND ABANDONED ON BLUEGRASS PARKWAY. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION SHOULD CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT.​​

A CENTRAL HARDIN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT TOOK HOME A BIG PRIZE AT THE KENTUCKY STATE FAIR. SAVANNAH WEBER WON FIRST PLACE IN THE STATE FAIR TALENT CLASSIC. WEBER WAS ONE OF THREE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM HARDIN COUNTY WHO MADE IT TO THE FINALS OF THE COMPETITION.
