Hardin Memorial Health and Doctor Larry Hall have agreed to dismiss legal actions on both sides involving the sale of Hardin Memorial Hospital to Baptist Health. Doctor Hall will be dismissing his petition for rehearing for the Kentucky Court of Appeals, and HMH will be dismissing their motion to sanction frivolous appeal. The sale was first affirmed by Hardin Circuit Court in May of 2018, and then by the Kentucky Court of Appeals in October 2018.

An Elizabethtown man was arrested early Sunday morning after striking a parked car. According to arrest citations, Elizabethtown Police received the call stating the operator seemed to be under the influence. First responding officers observed a male, later identified as Michael Lyons, and a female, Rachael Boley, leaving the scene of the incident, and with a strong smell of alcohol coming from the pair. Both failed sobriety tests, and damage to the vehicle that was struck came out to over one- thousand dollars. The two were lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center, and Lyons was charged with operating under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and criminal mischief.

Election Day is tomorrow, November 5th, and the County Clerk’s Office is reminding those who are headed to the polls to bring proper identification, such as a driver’s license, social security card, or government ID. There are over 87,000 registered voters in Hardin County. Voter specific polling locations can be found at hccoky.org.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 87 along with the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 87 in Hodgenville will be hosting a free dinner for all veterans on Wednesday, November 6th from 4 PM- 6 PM. The Legionnaires monthly meeting will follow at 6:30. The American Legion Post is located at 636 Lincoln Boulevard in Hodgenville.
