Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to support expansion of the Advanced Manufacturing Army Career Skills Program.
The three year Advanced Technological Education Grant will allow ECTC to add a robotics and automation certification pathway and support a Career Skills Program Coordinator who will facilitate recruitment and retention plans. The grant starts May 1st.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s office has been receiving reports of another scam in our area. An individual posing as a deputy sheriff is calling individuals stating they have a warrant. The individuals are then instructed to send money to clear their record. If you receive one of these calls, please report it to the Hardin County Sheriff’s office.
An attempted robbery was foiled Friday in Radcliff. On April 2nd at approximately 3 pm the Radcliff Police Department responded to the 200 block of Wilson Road in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned the subsect had approached another individual leaving the Cecilian Bank in an attempted robbery. The suspect also identified themselves as a Radcliff Police Officer. Hamilton was charged with Robbery second degree and impersonating a police officer. The case is currently pending investigation.
Hardin County Government along with AGC Automotive America’s and Cobalt are having their annual E-Scrap Recycling event next Saturday, April 17th. You can bring your electronic items like computers, camera’s printers, scanners, cd players and more to be recycled. The event is taking place at the AGC Automotive America’s Plant off of Highway 62 in Elizabethtown.
